Since 1988 the Women’s Club of Aruba, WCA, has been a staunch participant in the battle against HIV/AIDS, and this year created a unique method to raise public awareness regarding what each person can do to prevent the continued spread of this dread disease.

On Saturday, November 28, WCA took over The Village Mall in Palm Beach for several hours, offering a full day “family day” of information and performances from island groups geared to the global HIV/AIDS theme “STOP AIDS: Keep the Promise/Universal Access and Human Rights.” Lending her endorsement to the cause was the newly selected Miss Universe Aruba, Pricilla Lee. Drama, music and dance groups donating their time included Alfonso Mime, Freddy Montoya Theater Group, 4-Star Band and others.
